Over the past 3 days I have been very distracted by my day job. While I have written over 3,000 words, unfortunately none of it was fiction, erotic or otherwise, it has all been work related articles and reports.
So while I started the new year with good speed, I have hit the first speed bump. And my progress meters have not made any progress for the past few days. However I remain focused on my writing career as well as my day job and I am continuing to write my novels.

Declan - I came to this site waay back in the fall, following the trail of ‘Justine’ Since then, nothing has happened at all. I don’t know what you intend with this model (writing / self publishing on your own site), but I fear you are way overcommitted.

Sorry that it didn’t work out - I was interested in where the Justine story would evolve too. Sad to see that it evolved to — nothing at all.

I don’t know you, and I am not going to whine about someone else not updating a free story they were publishing - just expressing my regret that this stuff went nowhere. Sigh - not the first time - Gina Marie Wylie at asstr.org comes to mind also, as a favourite author who had a few really good stories on the go, but got distracted and never finished them.

    Dang.

    Hi Dang
Thanks for the comment. It came at an opportune moment, as I was just about to post that I have had a break through and now know how to write chapter 2 of Justine.

The good news is that the story of Justine has not “evolved to - nothing at all”.

I have an outline of the novel, a first draft of chapter 3, rough drafts of several other chapters and the last 3 paragraphs of the novel written.
My main problem with Justine was chapter 2. Every version of chapter 2 seemed completely flat after chapter one. (Remember chapter one was originally going to be a stand alone short story). I still don’t know if I can do an entire novel in the same “flash back” style of chapter 1. I don’t know if I can write it and I don’t know if the reader would enjoy reading it.

I am, however, feeling over committed, I started writing Terminal Singularity as a commercial SF/Erotic/Romance novel such as you can find on Diesel eBooks. Plus I still want to finish Alice.

But mostly I need to organize my time and actually sit down and write.
